Unusual Duck

Would you duck hunters please identify this duck. I could not find a picture in my bird book. The duck was by itself, nothing around as far as the eye could see, and the shallow water was so still its reflection, in some cases, almost a mirror image.

A Black Bellied Whistling Duck. They're an odd duck that spends the summers in my SE Texas area. They can get quite tame too. They were in front of my house and it had been raining a lot so seeing them up there made me a little uncomfortable.
