Judging by your information which is great, I know now where to look for most of these birds that we barely see around us. The first place I saw one was in Ona, Florida. It was standing in the road trying to scrape up this dried out old piece of roadkill that had been ground into the asphalt. So really you just never know, however, you can increase your chances if you stick to the corridor (which is a swath about straight up the middle of the state) where they reside and learn the best areas and terrain for them. P.S. Whenever I would go to my local dump, I always brought my camera. Always tons of birds in and around the dump)
