For a long time I was dying to get a photo of this bird, not having much luck at all been south of Florida, But once they opened the Everglades section in Zoo Miami, there he was, I just could not resist to take a few photos of this beautiful bird.

Neat! Love these guys. I ran into a couple of them a few years ago on a trip I took to Okeechobee (specifically to look for them). Couldn't find a one until I started home. Right across the road from the county dump sat two in a tree. Talk about exciting, in fact, I was so excited that I couldn't hold the camera steady enough to get a decent picture. At least you fared better.

Thank you, I will look into that, and is funny you mentioned the city dump, because while I was staying in Orlando is precisely where I got to see the most of Eagles. Judging by your information which is great, I know now where to look for most of these birds that we barely see around us. It also happens to be that in the Orlando City dump, there were hundred of Black Vulture and Turkey Vultures, and a few other birds.

The first place I saw one was in Ona, Florida. It was standing in the road trying to scrape up this dried out old piece of roadkill that had been ground into the asphalt. So really you just never know, however, you can increase your chances if you stick to the corridor (which is a swath about straight up the middle of the state) where they reside and learn the best areas and terrain for them. Good luck in your search.
P.S. Whenever I would go to my local dump, I always brought my camera. Always tons of birds in and around the dump)

He's a handsome bird, DaDiCarr! I've never seen one.
