Here are a few more Bob Hope show pics from a Christmas, 1969 show in DaNang, Republic of VietNam. Please excuse low quality, blown highlights, high contrast, etc. - these are scans from 50 year old prints that were printed on hard (+3) Mitsubishi paper (only thing we had available in DaNang at the time). If I remember correctly, these were shot on Tri-X with a Nikkormat FTn

Thanks for posting; great memories here; I saw him in Korat, Thailand where I was stationed in Dec 1968.
these were a great morale booster for young guys away from their home and with some likely not to return home.

Saw him in 1972. Memories, not all good, come flooding back...

I was lucky enough to see him live three times. Small show in the Philippines, he still had mud on his shoes from Vietnam Nam, then I saw him at Cam Rahn Bay Vietnam Nam, and the last time was when he did a show at the Fort Lewis hospital.

I am reading Bob Hope's book - Don't Shoot, It's Only Me, Bob Hope's Comedy History Of The United States - and am amazed and happy to see your pictures. It's a great book and thanks for the great pictures of a great bunch of volunteers.

Saw him in December 68 at Dong Tam, 9th Infantry Division in the Delta. Loved Ann Margaret, what a lady.

Yep, hard to believe I saw him at PhuCat 67 with Raquel Welch. Chinook helicopter bringing Army guys in crashed on landing. 7 guys never made it home after the show. What a way to remember.

Bob Hope was great American, but he was born in England. I never had the pleasure of seeing him in person.
