As for your posted image, who knows, could it be a secret moon base? It is possible, just not very probable. Unless you're implying aliens, and I would prefer to not go down that rabbit hole. I don't follow the rocket launches like I used to when I lived in FL, but I have not seen or heard of any US launches that have the size needed to put any sizable payload into a lunar orbit. So if you are claiming this is a super secret US base, logic would state that it has to be vastly under supplied. Honestly the image could be a crater in a larger crater. Since the image is buried in shadow it is only a guess, but what would the government benefit from by hiding such a great accomplishment. Hell they can't even keep their emails secret, to believe they have the power or strength needed to keep an operation of this magnitude under wraps is disingenuous to say the least.

Sonny is a d__k. What I saw in that crater could have been there a year or a million years. Wait until the Mars threads start showing up. The real fun will begin when that heats up. It is not wise to come to the aid of someone who I consider is not worth defending. One more thing: You should point out the thread where I mentioned "secret base". Not doing so will identify you as a d__k.

Sorry Streets, we try not to Flame here at the Astronomy Forum. There are forums where it has a place. But please not here.
Thanks.

You can call me a dick or an ass, it does not bother me in the least. I have always viewed someone who resorts to name-calling in an argument as someone who can not debate on the merit of their own ideas or beliefs.

As for you stating that what is in the crater as being unnatural, which by my definition means that it is either man made or of alien origins.

I already made the argument against it being man made, so that leaves me with alien in origin. To think that a race of creatures that can travel faster than light, would feel the need to hide or disguise their bases on the moon seems preposterous. They would be to us like we are to ants, we feel no need to hide our activities from what we deem as lessor creatures and I would assume the same would apply. If you can harness the power needed to traverse between stars, the fear of being found out by lowly humans wouldn't make much sense. If for some reason they wanted to watch us without interfering then you would think they would hide better than needing NASA to blur out images for them.

I have never stated you were wrong, only that the whole idea is improbable. What makes you believe that it has a to be unnatural in origin? I tend to side with the idea that the simplest solution is more of than likely the correct one.

Did you know that a di_k is the better part of a real man, streaks?
Probably not, as you Streaks would never understand.
Apparently, nobody here follows your line of baloney.

And they didn't the other times you flailed your wings, either.

Don't go away mad.
Just go away.

Some people take things the wrong way. I really meant "duck". But your version was better.
