I was at the right place at the correct time. The Sea Gulls were changing places. The cormorant was just adjusting things.

I used a 55-300mm Nikon DX Lens on my Nikon D5100.
I was on the Washington State Anacortes, WA. to Sidney, B.C. ferry.
We had just left the ferry dock.
