Very nice shot Dave! I love the old biplanes, and when I was flying RC, I much preferred the old tail draggers to the newer tricycle gear planes.
As nice as your shot is, if you are trying to mimic the old Army planes, I think there is too much red tint in the yellow portions an it doesn't look to be late in the day sunset lighting.

I used to work for a structural engineer in Woodbury, CT who was a fighter pilot in WWII and had a Stearman. His was painted up as a Navy trainer. He's 87 now and his wife made him stop flying and sell it when he hit 80.
