Mitchell B-25 in British markings. White wing & fuselage markings were painted on for D-Day to aid in identification friend or foe and avoid friendly fire. Probably belongs to a "flying" vintage aircraft organization and on the way to an air show.

I did some research. Nothing on American warbird sites. Wikipedia provided the answer. There is a picture of this aircraft as a "survivor". It Mitchel III & belongs to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. The AAF did not operate the B-25 in the European Theatre. 900 were furnished to the Britan and Canada.

They were used by AAF in Italy and around the Med. I consider that Europe.

I specifically stated European Theater. Italy was in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations. There were 4 - the other two were Pacific and China, Burma, India.
