Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Great Smokey Mountain National Park, downtown Nashville if you like country music, the pearl museum and downtown Memphis if you like the blues.

Without knowing your interest in subject matter its rather hard to make a suggestion. For me, in Nashville https://www.tripadvisor.com/Tourism-g55229-Nashville_Davidson_County_Tennessee-Vacations.html would be the music scene. While Memphis would be Graceland https://www.tripadvisor.com/AttractionProductDetail?product=3935PLATVIP&d=55197&aidSuffix=xsell&partner=Viator for starters. Just Google the two cities to make your choice of desire. Hope this helps to get you started.

Nashville is home to a replica Parthenon; it is fascinating and an interesting challenge to photograph.

If it's open for the season yet, there is a riverwalk in Memphis that might be interesting. It's about 3 blocks long and replicates the entire Mississippi river. I tried to go there last fall but was a week late and they had closed for the season. Also in Memphis is the Pyramid - it opened as a basketball arena but is now the world's largest Bass Pro Shop. It's in the same neighborhood as the riverwalk. Graceland has already been mentioned.

In Nashville, I concur with the Parthenon - extremely interesting and be sure to go inside at a small cost for the statue of Athena. Go downtown to the music district - great especially for street photography. There is an old district that I don't remember the name of but it has the American Picker's store in it. That area has some good photo ops. The Tennessee state capitol is near there so that could be a possibility. When we were in Nashville we took a hop on/hop off bus to all of these areas - low cost and easy to navigate. Also outside of Nashville is Hermitage Plantation. And don't forget the Grand Ole Opry.

If you have any time I recommend taking a side trip to Williamstown Ky to see the Ark Experience. No matter what your religious views it's an interesting place to view. A guy built a full size replica of what he envisioned Noah's Ark to be. The interior is all laid out with areas showing how the animals were housed, fed and taken care of along with areas showing living and working quarters. You will see some prehistoric critters there too because the builder believes the world is only a couple thousand years old and that the dinosaurs died off sometime after the Ark.
