Is it possible to enhance quality of a "subject too far away"?

That has two photoshop Actions applied to the finished photo
one is a transparent frame that allows you to pick the color -size and distance between the frame lines
the second one is a "Drop Shadow" which gives the - Hanging in the wall effect.
they are like the "grow 10%" action I used to increase the size.

A couple more tries

Hi Harvey! Both are interesting. The second one looks like it could be a contemporary greeting card. What software and how did you do that? Thanks.

Maybe think about attempting to take the shot again. Put out some kind of deer feed when it gets close to snowing again so the deer knows to show up at that spot if it wants something to eat. But this time you'll be ready with the proper lens. I've done something like this with very good results. But, maybe try converting your original image into a painting or water color using Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. Good luck.

Great idea, outsider. Thanks very much. The deer in my area are protected so they are not afraid of people as long as they are not approached. Will tuck the feed idea away for early coming spring when the daffodils are again blooming. The painting idea sounds like an interesting subject to get into once I learn more about the process of photography and the post process. I understand it takes a very long time of dedicated learning and experience.

I am sure she will get the chance to shoot many more deer in the future. These foot hills of CA have become so filled with homes it is illegal to hunt them. You can not fire a weapon with in so many 1,000 ft of an occupied building that includes cross bows and bow & arrows. Darn hard to grow flowers much less a garden.

Really like your deer shots, especially #2 and #3. Your deer seem to have a softer look in the face than the deer we have here. Thanks for sharing them.

Cute shot, Harvey. It seems like you have a lot of wildlife where you live. Are they protected there also?

As a friend was leaving my home, I saw a small herd of deer across the road in the snow. My camera always ready (but with it's 55 mm lens on for the animalss in the house) I grabbed it to take the photo. It is cropped to bring up the subjects, but there are too few pixels to get definition. I like this shot. Is there anything I can do to enhance it.

IMHO, the photo is nice just the way it is!The tree makes a wonderful "frame."Very serene.

Thanks, saycheese. I'm glad you like it. The only thing I'd like to do to it is put in more pixels to enlarge it. I cropped it on top of taking the photo too far away, so it is small. Got lot's of info, though. Am looking forward to trying it.

Here is an interesting effect by PSE, and Topaz Adjust. Its called Painting - Venice, sort of looks like a water color somewhat.

That is lovely, Steve, and so exciting as I can see the creativity in photography beyond my thoughts. (Obviously, if I haven't experienced it in some way, I can't thing about it......but it is exciting!!!)

Thanks to you all for your support and encouragement!
