Maybe the release,popularity and price of the G2 had an effect,huh? Nice post...

I had the Tamron first generation. I sent it to Tamron and had them fine tune it to the camera body at 600mm. It performed very well at that focal length. This is a good price. Yes, I think the G2 has beat up the market for the first generation...but it is still a useful lens. Best of luck to OP!

In my previous post, I was including a top rated uv filter, polarizer and nice case. The case alone was expensive. Prices go down, not up. I stopped at my local camera store and they recommended this price for a quick sale. Stop beating me up. If you are interested, PM me.
