Peeling Turtle or our recent visit to our local wildlife park- NWTREK

First sunny day on a Friday-one of the three days a week NWTREK is open this time of year. Around 64 degrees F. No visible young as yet. Ever see a "Peeling Turtle?" Luv that she-turkey vulture. Got over 150 images of that lynx.

D7200 Nikkor 200-500, monopod, some taken from a moving tram.

Never even heard of a peeling turtle and had to Google it. Cool shots.
That turtle looks like it's having a religous sun inspired experience.

Your photos are amazing! The lynx photos are things of beauty, and lynx #2 would really be nice as a 16x20 picture for a wall.

Some great images, Sinewsworn! The lynx is a beauty and the turkey vulture as ugly as sin. Snakes peel so why not turtles? 🐢

That turtle stayed in the same spot, only moving his head up and down, for over an hour.

Thanx! The peeling seems strange but that is how turtles shed.
That lynx deserved a treat for that pose.
