One thing that might be worth trying is a slightly darkened vignette, to help balance out the strength of the texture (for lack of a better way to describe it). This reminds of images I've seen on the Photomorphis site, a vendor I follow because I (a) like their work and (b) they sometimes give some of their expensive textures and presets away free.

Something about the centering calls to me but I hadn't thought of a vignette where even a subtle one might help. Please feel free to edit. S-
