Christianity is not a problem.

The problem is organised religion.
Believe whatever you want.
Just don't try to get everyone else to believe it.

The fact of the matter, Wellhiem, is that there is nothing Christians can do to make another person believe. Bringing a person to saving faith is a work of God. The most that we can do is give others the opportunity to hear or be exposed to the Word of God and let God do His work. There is no reason for any arm twisting. All we have ever done is provide an opportunity. Our Church doors are always open and everybody is welcome.

Romans 10:14 King James Version (KJV)

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

The preaching game has long been a good lurk for some, from small timers cadging chicken dinners, to TV preachers bringing in the sheaves.

Yes, I'm gonna get me religion
I'm gonna join the Baptist Church
Yes, I'm gonna get me religion
I'm gonna join the Baptist Church
You know I wanna be a Baptist preacher
Just so I won't have to work

Take An Old Cold 'tater, performed by Little Jimmie Dickens

When I was A little boy around the table at home.
I remember very well when Company would come.
I would have to be right still until the whole crowd ate.
My mama always said to me Jim take a tater and wait.

(2)
Now taters never did taste good with chicken on the plate.
But I had to eat 'em just the same.
That is why I look so bad and have these puny ways.
cause I always had to take an old cold tater and wait.

(3)
And then the preachers they would come
To stay a while with us.
I would have to slip around
and raise a little fuss
In fear that I would spill the beans
or break a china plate
My mama always said to me Jim take a tater and wait.

Totally agree Steve. But once you organise religion, it needs to be funded.

I really don't know what you're talking about. We have houses of worship. We pay our ministers, who in our Churches must have seminary degrees, which means a bachelors degree and then, ususally, a 4 year seminary degree, considering the preferred seminary. These ministers are just as professional as other professionals. We fund missionaries. I belong to a Church that is independent although loosely associated by belief with other Churches of the same kind.

I do realize in England you've got the Anglican Church, which I would call a big organized denomination. I have heard and read a wonderful Anglican preacher named John Stott. I'm not sure if you're aware of him. I was originally Baptist (not Southern) where each Church is independent, although we were of the same theological beliefs as other Baptist Churches in our loose "convention." Our convention, for one thing, together financially supported a camp which we all used and was open all summer as well.

Yes but you also believe that it's okay to rape a woman as long as she's not a virgin, (anyone not believing that, I will post a link to where he said it).

Go ahead, post away. After all, you're the only virgin that's ripe for rape...guess in old-man village, you're considered the village idiot.

I'm flattered that you think of me that way, but I really don't think you're my type.
Even if you were waist high, with no teeth and a flat head I could rest my beer on, you wouldn't be my type.
