Again, you show your ignorance. It was not transportation funding, dipshit. Educate yourself. It was disaster relief funding to help cover the damage from the severe winter storms, including for repairs to the Oroville Dam. Which again is typical funding for all states when they qualify for disaster relief funds. Sheesh! Can't you get anything right? For being so perpetually misinformed, you sure are an arrogant asshole about your ignorance.

How clear of you to recycle a Jonny Carson line from 50 years ago.

Seriously, try to keep up.

I notice that "imbecile" is a word that you are quite fond of lately. I understand the temptation of someone with such a limited vocabulary to become fascinated with a "new" word to overuse it incessantly.

I am sorry to be the one to have to tell you this Pussy, but the more you use a word the less effect it has. Your insults are boring. You need to expand your vocabulary and do some training on creative writing.

I can help with this if you like.

California's gas tax hasn't been raised in over 20 years, because of naysayers like you, leading to serious backlogs of maintenance of our infrastructure, causing increased costs to motorists to repair tires and suspension from driving over rough/damaged roads/bridges.

Oh, you must be one of those geniuses with funny math who thinks its better to allow the infrastructure to collapse, as well as incur increased repair maintenance costs for your car, in order to save 10 cents per gallon? Yea, no wonder red states are such basket cases - because people using such idiot math are in control! lol

Enjoy your inadequate/dilapidating infrastructure. Meanwhile, California will continue to look to the future and keep its economy roaring with proper investment in infrastructure.
California's gas tax hasn't been raised in over 20... (show quote)

Gas in the San Francisco area is about $2.80 right now. The national average is about $2.40. The Minnesota average is about $2.30. Our roads are just fine. What has California been doing with all that extra gas tax money that the roads are in such bad shape that you need a 10 cent tax increase?

Gas is $2.05 in Casa Grande, AZ today. The roads in Arizona are great. California must be doing something wrong.

And gas in Florida is $2.38, our roads are fine and our bridges are in very good shape.

You and Gov. Moonbeam have created the mess you have. Have you ever stopped whining and started doing? You're as big an idiot as Captain Crunch - you think that the world owes you...it's the other way around....

I work in our legislature to create needed change. What do you do??

In 2013 Florida got $25.1 billion dollars from the federal government, which is 31.5% of its total revenue.

I didn't get any of it. Florida has an extremely high percentage of retirees and much of its labor force is in construction, landscaping, and the hospitality industries which leads to the low pay structure, which coincides with our low cost of living. I'll take Florida anytime, while our unemployment, underemployment is bad, it's nowheres near California. And again, no state income tax, 6% sales tax, and no $3.00/gal gas.

You're so full of mierda, the bulk of that is Social Security and Medicare, you know Florida is a prime retirement state and you dems love to count that money as some kind of federal assistance, even though the government was to never touch it and we will get less back than paid in. We also host Centcom, at McDill Air Force base in Tampa not to mention Eglin Air Force base in the panhandle and Mayport in Jacksonville, you demonics also count that federal spending as charity to a red state... Go screw yourself, I bet you're pretty good at that Nickky.

Let's talk about Moochers using your criteria,

From the LA Times.....

"The federal government spends some $367.8 billion a year on California. That’s an average of about $9,500 for every woman, man and child in the state."

Now the actual funding California receives is about $105 billion in grants and programs, that $367 includes military spending and social security, you know the same shit you included in your Florida number. Now there are two interesting points that have cropped up, one is that California is not really much of a donor state, the 7 year old study that said California only received 78% back of what it paid in has been debunked, it included the state's share of national debt payments which it never really paid, a newer study out of New York puts that number closer to 99% so statistically, you are simply paying your own freight, nothing more.

From the same article......

"Lawmakers have long lamented that Californians pay more in taxes than they receive back in services, hanging their hats on a 2007 report by the conservative Tax Foundation that California is a “donor state” that receives only 78 cents in services for each dollar in taxes paid. But state analysts point out that report added extra tax dollars from Californians — beyond those actually paid — to cover the state’s share of the federal deficit.

Perhaps more accurate is a 2015 state-by-state review compiled by New York officials, one that puts California much closer to breaking even — about 99 cents in federal services for every real dollar in taxes."

Now what is interesting in this article is that $105 billion number that goes to grants and programs, the money that Sessions is taking a hard look at, and how it fits into California's budget. Governor Moonbeam is back to running deficits again, not only did he run what was thought to be a $1.6 Billion dollar deficit last year, but an accounting error of some sort added another $1.9 billion to that deficit, pretty big numbers at the state level, especially when states are supposed to have balanced budgets. At any rate, Moonbeam has introduced a $179.5 billion budget, it would seem to be that the percentage of federal dollars spent in relation to the state budget in the two states, Florida and California is quite a bit higher in California. You're a computer programer, so I think it safe to assume that you can do math, 179.5/105 puts the federal contribution to California's budget at over 58%, this almost seems unreal to me, but I am getting these numbers from the linked LA Times article so they must be right.....

Maybe this will teach you to stop throwing stones...... Because you do live in a glass house.
