Birdpix, are you kidding? There is a section called general chit chat for Non photography topics. However even if there was not that was a rude comment. This is a friendly place to visit, and hostility should be kept out!

Sorry for all the fuss I caused,
I belong to several Forums.[ model trains, stained glass and horses ]
I figured that Photo people were more mechanically inclined, so that's why I asked the question here.
Also,,when I tried to take the picture in the macro mode, I couldn't get the camera to lock into focus, when I switched to infinity mode it locked right in ??
[A fairly new Nikon P510]

Hey Doc ..... hot splattering solder all by itself would make those burn marks .....

your macro (if I remember) will only work when the focus is set on infinity.
