You are not the first or last to do this. Most likely all of your pictures are still there. Considering your level of experience I suggest that you take the card out of the camera and put it in a safe place. Find a friend or friend of a friend who has some experience with this. It is not difficult but there is no need to take a chance on loosing what is still on the card.

After choosing a recovery program, just go to youtube.com and look up how to use that program. They almost always have some good tutorials on how to do stuff. I've fixed my washer, and dryer using youtube.
