Just another pointless "review" based on camera specs, they have NOT seen or used the camera yet so the entire article is pretty much hype for their website.

At least it does away with speculation and provides evidence of what the new model be like, at least in terms of features. It will be interesting to see how it fares in the field when it actually becomes available on the market. But based on the specs in the article, I don't see anything that would make me want to rush out and upgrade from my D7200.

Tilting touch screen can be very useful for some folks in some situations. Low angle and high angle shots come to mind. I hope they include it in the next iteration of the D8XX series.

That tilting screen would be the only attraction for me, but it's not enough to tempt me, especially when I am considering ditching the heavy DSLR stuff and going in a lighter direction.

The camera will sell for those that have already the D3300 and D5xxx series. Perhaps even D7100 owners, because they will need a better buffer and 4K video. The only setback is the single slot SD card. Both the D7100 and D7200 have dual slots.

I shoot with the D7100 and the new D7500 is shot down because of only one memory card slot. Don't use the tilt screen enough to be a big factor. If I were to spend the $$$ would go with the D500.

Actually, you can get a refurbished D500 for $1699. A new D7500 will cost you $1249. During the last Black Friday last November, you could get the D500 new, with free accessories for $1800.

Well, so am I. I just mentioned that feature because I have found it to be useful.
My D500 is up for sale on ebay right now, as are several Nikon lenses. I'm going to mostly be shooting my em1 mk2. Keeping the D810 and some primes and specialty lenses, though.
