My favorite tree. This looks like a good start at recording the life-cycle of this wonderful species. A nice, crisp depiction of the buds Bill. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Bob. I was so happy to see this tree bloom. The Bradford Pear in the background never did this year due to a late season freeze.

The red buds are one of my favorite trees. I love your beautiful captures. I'm reminded they may be blooming somewhere near me and I need
to check it out.

your red bud is so pretty bill..i like the shot with the blurred tree in the background.
our red bud got hit by a nasty frost and only had a few little blooms in it this year.
i'm going to have to put it in the intensive care section of the plant hospital around here
and hope it recovers.

Keep on shooting. Flowering Pears in our area were decimated in ice storms 2014-2015. Many have not recovered, sadly.

Beautiful Bill, and ours is just a baby--only it's second year and had about two tiny blooms that you almost needed a magnifying lens to see! We keep waiting for leaves to appear and I told Ellen that I was afraid it was gone, but then yesterday some very tiny leaves began to appear that you could just barely see! Take care!

Thanks everyone for taking the time to stop, look, and make a comment.

For those whose plants were hit by a late freeze, good luck. Hopefully we'll all have a nice mild summer giving them a chance to recuperate.
