Wireless flash trigger, Nikon D5300, Bolt VS. 570N

Good morning... Way out of my league here but have to start somewhere :-( I'm looking for a wireless unit to trigger my 570N flash on my D5300. I also own a wired Shutterboss II. I thought the flash was confusing but the trigger is no walk in the park either. Can anyone recommend a middle of the road trigger? Am I correct in assuming fir each flash I need a receiver and one transmitter for the camera.
Thanks,
ICE

I use a PocketWizard Mini-TT1 on my camera and put my Nikon SB-700 flash on a PocketWizard Flex-TT5. Those units support TTL metering. The Mini-TT1 is a transmitter only. The Flex-TT5 is a transceiver so it can be used as either a transmitter on the camera or receiver for the flash. They come in a Nikon or Canon version.

Sometimes I've used three PocketWizards for a studio setup. I had my Paul C. Buff DigiBee DB800 strobe as the main light with a PocketWizard Plus X (no TTL - trigger only) connected to the strobe's sync port. I had a PocketWizard Mini-TT1 (supports TTL metering) on my camera. I had a grid on my SB-700 flash to use as a hair light. I had that on a light stand with the flash on a Flex-TT5 (supports TTL metering). I was able to adjust flash compensation on the camera and doing that would vary the intensity of the hair light.

The Phottix system is very good, it is radio rather than line of sight and is relative simple to use. Have been using mine for about 10 years now and never a failure.

I've used the Yongnuo triggers for several years. They are reliable and reasonably priced. They will work with your D5300. Each trigger is both receiver and transmitter, but if you have a Yongnuo flash, Yongnuo flashes have the receiver built in, so you don't need a second one.

Th Yongnuo 568 EX for Nikon does NOT have a RADIO Receiver built in..It's only short distance INFRARED. You Must have a separate RADIO wave receiver for the flash to slide into for it to fire with the kit I referred to in my post..The 2 receivers in the kit are 2.4GHZ radio receivers that will fire up to 300 feet, and does NOT need line of sight to work..And you will need the 2.4ghz Flash trigger to fire it, also included in that $111 kit..''ALL FYI

Love my Phottix Odin! Does HSS and I can control the manual output of my speedlights from the transmitter.
Does TTL too, but I rarely use that.
The menu system is a lot easier for me than the Yongnou I had, which I when I got the Phottix.
Never have had an issue with it.
Cheaper systems usually will not let you sync at the maximum normal sync setting.

Some inexpensive choices.

Thanks everyone for contributing to my flash education. I don't find the D5300 intimidating in the least bit however...Flash, triggers, receivers, transmitters and shutter release has me running scared. I've always been a technical guy but somewhere in the aging process I'm not as comfortable with technology as I used to be.
Again thanking everyone for the support.
PS I hope this thread stays going for a while.

Or you can trigger them all at once using the on-camera flash. Nikon makes a little shield for the on-camera flash so it doesen't illuminate subject if you want, yet fires the off camera flashes. It is about $15.

It works for my Nikon and Neewer flashes.

It's called a Nikon SG-3IR Replacement IR Panel .
Filters out the visible light and allows the IR to go through.
