Brexit masterminds Nigel Farage and Arron Banks want to split California into 2 states

California, in many ways, has an embarrassment of riches, with its lush supply of farmable land, booming tech companies, massive coastline and dazzling entertainment industry.
Nigel Farage and Arron Banks, known as the 'Bad Boys Of Brexit,' "who led the campaign to break Britain away from the European Union," believe it's really too much for one state to handle, notes the Daily Mail.
As such, they were recently part of an effort to raise $1 million in donations from a number of Californians supporting a plan to split the Golden State into two.
According to Salon, "Farage and his finance partner ... Banks have reportedly been recruited by Republican operatives Scott Baugh and Gerry Gunster to help raise money to fund the drive to get more than 500,000 signatures from around the state in order to put the proposal before voters on California's 2018 ballot."
The proposal is called "Calexit" and its supporters suggest that the conservative eastern reaches split away from the left-leaning west.
Said Banks, "It would be portrayed as the Hollywood elites versus the people, breaking up the bad government. Seventy-eight percent of people in California are unhappy with their government. It's the world's sixth largest economy, and it's very badly run."
The Daily Mail notes that "if broken apart, the eastern part of California would more likely vote Republican, giving the party two more senators and electoral college votes for a 2020 presidential election. The Western side of the state would likely continue to vote Democrat in elections."

Sounds good to me! Then all the illegal aliens could gather in the Western half and live off of all the Liberals and Hollywood elites who want them entering the country. Would be a great formula. Republicans could use the two extra Senators and electoral votes.
