Thank you for sharing your photos. It looks like you could easily spend more than a day just looking through and photographing the 'best' of her collection. What a wonderful find.

Haven't been to the Hitching Post for many years, but will never forget their steaks. I had their 48 oz special and ate it all (I was 24 at the time and always hungry). It was located way out in the boonies then. Love the pictures of the "stuff". Wish you would have included a shot of the lady. That could have been the best picture of all.

Bill, you're right, it would have been a great image. I only thought of that after I left!

To the right of the Hitching Post is a fenced in abode that every Yard Art photographer only dreams about! Inside resides an elderly Native-American lady with as much charm and wit as her collections! Her place immediately caught my eye when we pulled in to have dinner at the restaurant. I walked over to her home and saw her as she just arrived and was closing her gate. I asked if she would mind if I took some pictures. I love this place! Well, she lit up like a Christmas tree and was so grateful that someone finally wanted and cared to take an interest in her life-long creations that she welcomed me in with opened arms, a smile and a hug! I was guided through every nook and cranny both inside and out. She said she's been praying people would visit her place for years. Her little welcome sign went unnoticed. Take the time to see her, you'll be glad you did! It certainly made my day! And I know by her smile, it made hers as well!
Here are but a few of the 49 photos I took.

Karin, no she doesn't sell anything to the best of my knowledge! I never asked her either!

Excellent captures of the lady's fantastic collection of trash and treasures, Snap Shot. Does she sell any of the items? The Indian pottery would be nice to have. Would like to see more of your pictures taken there and a picture of her smiling. sm02
