I visited Stone City, IA today. It was the old company town for a quarry, and there are still some of the original buildings. Some are being used by people, and have additions, etc., added. I did not shoot hose, instead, I got pics of the old church, the watertower, high above the town, several ruins, an angel, just off the road facing the woods. Here's the question. it was overcast, and when tree branches are against the sky, they have bluish 'ghosts' around them. I use PSP for PP and usually increase contrast a little, sharpen, and use a little local tone mapping. I know that this gives the shots a kind of strange look, but the blue haze as there in the unedited RAW file. Any ideas what is causing this?
Well, I got these three in but I can't add any more. but the last two illustrate the issue.
I've run into that issue. No clue how to fix or why it happens. So I'll watch this thread with interest.

Maybe I am out of step with the rest of the world, but I like these photos.
Look up chromatic aberration.

As mrtobin suggestion, image 3 has serious Blue and Red fringing (chromatic aberration) and this should be tackled early in the post processing. It is very visible by magnifying the tree twigs and branches.
It looks as though you have overlaid a sketching filter onto the image and this makes the CA appear worse than it really is. You could try selecting the building, creating a mask and add the sketch effect to the building only, then bring back the original sky and grass which will really make the buildings 'pop'.
