After days of much needed rain, there was plenty of water lying around in paddocks. What makes these shots strange are the giant white 'nets' that covered the sides of the road at this particular spot. I did not see them anywhere else & I have not seen them before. They look a little like huge spider webs & if you pull some of it, it comes away like a long piece of white string. I have no idea what it is. Downloading is recommended.

Nice shots, strange webbing. We get tent caterpillars here every so often, and they build large webs in the trees, covering most of the tree. Then they emerge and eat all the leaves. You can hear them eating and pooping. It sounds like rain.

They are webs created by the Spider from the Black Lagoon! :o)

I think it's the remnants of the space ship's exhaust mixed with the damp atmosphere. Some one is missing from your neighbourhood mate. LoL. Grat images, I have never seen any thing like it before either.

NO NO NO, it has to be the amazing invasion of the spider fish from another planet.

I don't want to see the spider(s) that did that but I'm glad you captured it. What neat photos! I used to get stuff like this on a massively smaller scale on a cut grass lawn but each web thing maybe a max of 5-6". I don't know what else it could be tho.

Interesting shots Earl, could it be spiders like the ones that cover trees in webs...

Thanks, nanaval. They would have to be huge spiders, as the 'webs' went for over 50 yards.

Earl.
