Got back outside this afternoon and used my Canon 100-400mm L lens on my heavy tripod. I was only able to get 6 photos that are worthy of being shared with other HOGs. I believe some of the problem maybe technique and I am looking into it. Again all the settings will be with each photo and as yesterday's photos turned out the settings are the same for each photo except the ISO. ALL C&C is requested and if you can please leave a response on my photos.

Dirtpusher, thank you for your comments. If I remember correctly I was out there from 11:30 to about 1:30. That should be close as to the time.

Greg, what you kept is good! I would say this is not a bad harvest! Today I gained a tremendous respect for the shots you have been posting. I went out and tried to shoot some of the little birds at my feeders. Oh my gosh! They are so small and they don't hold still at all. Your pictures make it look easy but that is not the case!😊

Good closeup shots, Greg. Especially like your little molting yellow-rumped warbler. Got your email, Greg, and I promise I'll answer. I've been out of town all afternoon but will get busy!

Carol, I understand what you mean. Angela asked me if I ever look at my old photos and I do, both on line from my backup device and also from my albums. I have saved/printed somewhere over 1500 6x4's. I love looking at the older ones compared to now. They also help me to get ready for the birds as they migrate. Anyhow, yes I understand the learning curve you go through to get where I am.

Johnny, that is what I am attempting to work on. Do away with the feeders as props for the birds to land on. I will be placing more natural wood around the area and also converting some of the wood into feeders, Suet for one. I just need to go slow and with Brenda hurting herself the other day I need to make sure I am able to help her even more now.

I wish I could go out like I used to be able to. The way I felt 6 months ago would have allowed me to get everything I have planned in less than 2 days.

Corky, thank you for your comments. I would still love to be on the Chick getting some of your photos. I am going to make some road trips pretty soon, as soon as Brenda can get around better. Thanks again.

Donna, thanks for your comments. The Yellow-Rumped Warblers are for sure getting more beautiful by the day. If you never saw them 4-5 months ago you would maybe not recognize that it is the same bird. I know you will answer my E-Mail when you can. Do not put it ahead of anything else you need to do. Thanks again friend for doing what you do for all the HOGs, including me.
