I'm new to this site and wanted to introduce myself. I pretty much like to shoot everything but I make my money shooting weddings. My favorite subject however is my pets. I've been taking pictures all my life but I only consider myself to be a photographer for the last 3 years when a friend of mine who happens to be a very professional photographer took me with him as a second shooter for weddings. He taught me how to stop just snapping "good" pictures and start thinking like a photographer. I am now starting to gain enough confidence to be able to shoot weddings and events on my own.
You guys seem to be a friendly group and i'm hoping to spend some time here learning from you guys. :)
Well - not sure if you are looking for feedback on your pictures or not. If so #2 comes in at my favorite, I like the feeling, rather abstract but not over the top, novel but not to the point of being strange. #1 for me has too much out of focus, and the red in the bottom corner is overpowering - but understand that this is rather popular setting among some. In at #3, I like the focus and framing, but not sure what the story is on the light - actually there or added after, but I find it a distraction. If are not interested in my opinion then I love all of them and my ill informed, good for nothing, subjective thoughts can be easily dismissed. Just so you know I like what I do even less. Enjoy the day.

LOL...thank's for your input. Yes, the out of focus on the ring shot was added after the fact, I gave the Bride the clear version and the soft focus version. You are right about the red being distracting. I should have cropped that out. As far as the shot of the rat...I am an ULTRA newbie to Photoshop, Lightroom etc and was just playing around. I kinda liked the way it came out but others have pointed out that if I want to use lens flare....try putting somewhere where the light would actually be coming from. Thanks for the compliment on the 2nd pic. I am rather fond of that one....LOVE the look on the bridesmaid's face.
All three are worth a good look. # 2 is the most fun, #1 kind of forces the eye to the ring by default, but a little busy, and # 3 is different. If the rats head was a little more to the right, he (or she) might look like it's looking at the odd light.
Hope to see more of your work.
