My Dell Chromebook has been working fine for months, but now I can't sign in. When I start it, I have to enter the password. There's no getting around that. I enter the password and press Enter. The screen goes black, and about fifteen seconds later, I get the sign-in screen again. It's not rejecting the password. I tried entering an incorrect P/W, and it says it's incorrect. It just doesn't let me access the computer. I can sign in as a Guest, but then I have limited access. Any ideas?

I did the Ctrl-Alt-Shift-R reset, and that did a total factory reset. I hope that doesn't become a regular thing.

I haven't had to do that yet, as I only have had a Chromebook for about 4 months. But the nice thing about it a factory reset with a Chromebook is you don't lose any programs and all your own stuff you can keep in the cloud. After MS and Mac it didn't take long to learn to like Chromebook. Plus no backup. So for a simple person like me it's all I need.
