AF is a game changer. Same as the 1DX. Dynamic range is excellent. Good all rounder. Good for sports (7Dii-outdoor, 1DX is better) Good for stills ( mirrorless is better). Good for landscape (5DS/R or Sony mirrorless is better), Good for video (most mirrorless are better).... not the "best" in any category....but the best camera for every situation and I bought one :-)

(When mirrorless achieves the same AF speeds as DSLRs and the electronic lag is gone...I will be tempted to switch....for now, i still shoot weddings and sports and this will do both with professional results)

You will love it....menu system is excellent too

Put more stock in your abilities and the cam maker will make no difference.

It's a nice camera, kind of pricy but nice. Canon could have done away with the AA filter and used a better codec for the 4K video, and used the DIGIC 7 processor instead of the DIGIC 6+, but, so far I'm happy with mine.

seems like an off handed compliment to me. inotherwords it's "an all round" better camera. but not the best.

Correct. Not the best in any category other than AF. But really really good in every category.

Awesome camera. Not sure what you replaced but it is light years ahead of the iii.

The first new firmware update is coming next month.

Absolutely love mine. Use it mainly for birds and my 1Dx does a lot of sitting.

These kinds of comments usually come from landscapers and bug-chasers that can't shoot and don't know how to use a camera well!!!
For many kinds of photography especially action and portraits a camera like this can make a HUGE differeance.
Enjoy your lV and learn it inside and out!!! It's a great camera even though I don't own one!!! LoL

Very happy with it. Excellent AF. My favorite is the number of custom button options are incredible, especially when including 3 custom shooting modes (C1-C3) -- if you can remember where you put all your custom settings! I keep a cheat sheet, which I keep updated, to keep track of everything, especially if there has to be a full reset for some reason.

Happy shooting!
