Sounds like a children's book - but not so.
Today, our local squirrel had just settled in for Sunday dinner when a gang of birds arrived, and she had to pretend they weren't there.
These pests are certainly hard to ignore - they take over everything. I am going to have to stop feeding for about 2 weeks until the White Eyed Grackles (which I think these are); the Boat Tailed Grackles; Cowbirds; and now Starlings have moved on. They chase out everything else that wants to feed at the feeders. They really should have snouts and curly tails like the pigs that they are.
