I already have a Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G and a Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D.

Bob wanting to get a 50mm. I shoot in a lot of clubs, resturants, street scenes and bars most with poor light. What to get 1.4 or 1.8?

I.8 should be plenty fast with any recent body. All go to very high ISOs. If you want to spend alot more, then go 1.4, or even 1.2. What body do you have?
Is Cal's Cameras still going strong in Costa Mesa? I've spent a fair amount there in the 60s and 70s. Lived in Costa Mesa 34 yrs.
