Girl in grave yard C&C please

I was at a Funeral today and snapped this picture. She is one of the Great Grandchildren and was a little bit bored. I was using a Sony A55V with a 16 - 105 Sony lens and it was zoomed in as far as it would go. Here is the Original , Crop, very slight PP and the camera settings. Other than the sunbeams I am quite happy with it. Any suggestions on how to improve it?

The cropped version is better. I think I'd try turning everything black and white except for the little girl, but that may just be my weird way of looking at things. I like that she's colorful in a somewhat dull scene.

Great Capture, I would be tempted to crop in even further though to just behind the cross thats behind her, just under the hanging yellow flowers and to the edge of where the light is spiralling, maybe just extend back to include a little area beneath her feet. Maybe just me but i always like to see a bit more space in the direction of where the subject is looking (rule of thirds)

Great pic. I'd crop it even tighter. I don't think the sunbeam nor the flower pot is necessary for your story.

Thank you all for your comments. I will have to read up on how to make the picture black and white and then just make the girl in colour.

To me it's scattered...its' too busy.
Your vantage point isn't working for me and there is too much in the scene.

Also the lighting is a bit boring....

It's more like a snap shot

It's wonderful she can be bored, and not carry the weight of greiving for a lost loved one yet.Innosence is a blessing sometimes. I like the pic, and I get the story it tells, I'm sorry for your loss.

That's exactly what it was, a snapshot. The reason I noticed her was because I saw her mother head off in her direction to get her. I had approx 10 seconds from the time I saw her mother until she got up and left. The service was in progress and she was about 150 meters away, I quickly zoomed in as far as I could and took the picture. For obvious reasons I didn't really have time to compose the picture lol. I was trying to get some help / suggestions to fix up what I had. Thanks for your thoughts.

I liked the pic the first time I saw it, but I seem to like it more each time I see it.
