Stroll through Saguaro Ntl Monument

We went to the national monument in Tucson at Sunset and highlighted our most majestic of Cacti, the Saguaro. We also caught backlit Cholla (they look like teddy bears). They have the reputation of being "Jumping Cholla." if you just brush one, you will have many cacti segment to deal with.

Beautiful color and nice composition. Are the wildflowers out yet? Vail has beautiful wildflowers some years.

I really like the third photo. Cholla spines have a bad reputation but they don't actually jump. If you catch the right light late in the day, cholla will have a beautiful, iridescent glow.

Thanks, I once heard two men discussing the physics of how the Cholla cactus jump. Pretty amusing. Barely brush one and it seems like they jumped. Tough to get off
