[quote=CHG_CANON]Some more images with the new EF 24-105 f/4L IS II, this time from the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. The park entrance is in Utah, but the most familiar rock formations are in Arizona. The site is not a national park, like nearby Canyonlands, in Utah, and the Grand Canyon, in Arizona; rather, the area is one of six Navajo-owned tribal parks. The Navajo lived in an area known today as the Four Corners, where Utah, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico meet. They called Monument Valley - Tsé Bii Ndzisgaii, or Clearing Among the Rock.
Monument Valley was made famous in western movies by director John Ford. He shot
Stagecoach in the valley staring John Wayne in 1939. The film won two Academy Awards and made Wayne a star; it also made the western a respected film genre. Legend has it that when John Wayne first saw Monument Valley, he declared: "So this is where God put the West."

Paul, excellent series and it sure does show off the ability of a "L" lens. As you know I have my first two and understand the overall quality and IQ of the series. Will be picking up more "used" ones as money will allow. Thanks again for the outstanding series.

What a fantastic series of shots. Cheers.
Wow. Outstanding photos and post. Your sixth photo really captured the sun, shadows and snow as vivid white. Great assortment.

Spectacular series. I also liked the Chicago images with the frosty Bean being my favorite.
I can't help but wonder, if I used that lens, would I get the same sharp, clear photos? These are beautiful! I have the old version. Should I consider upgrading? Very tempting!
