Johan ingles-le Nobel is, in my opinion, the most knowledgeable photographer on focus stacking and macro rails.
This link is an article on the three best options for automated focusing rails: http://extreme-macro.co.uk/extremist/buying-a-focus-stacking-rail
Near the top of page 1 of the Macro Forum is a link to Johan's website. Anyone interested in this topic would do well to bookmark this as a resource. His work is stunning as well.

Very interesting article. I was not familiar with the MJKZZ product at all, looks like a major competitor.

Another great resource is Rik Littlefield, he's the author of Zerene stacking software. http://zerenesystems.com/cms/stacker

There are some great tables on both of these sites. No need for me to tax my math brain.

I would add Helicon to your reading list. Remote allows you to control both your camera and the Stackshot rails and Focus assembles the stack for you. http://www.heliconsoft.com
