I see this often at the Everglades National Park. Indeed they use the method you have described. They have a lot of patience and they are excellent fishermen.
Great series and the images are tack sharp.

Thanks, I will get one of those if I buy the 200-500 !

I will post my Herron picture just as a Test, it was not planned at the time and it was taken with a 28mm, cropped a lot and transferred from iPhoto to Aperture to Lightroom, I may have left another transfer off, LOL
As a result it is about 750kb.

This is a to die for series! Each is sharp and clear, well composed and so outstanding. These guys are experts. The fish doesn't have a chance!
