very nice shot, if I was passing bye I would have stopped to shoot that, ( my wife hates me stopping to shoot old buildings)

Great shot, but so sad to see what must have been a wonderful home, going to wrack and ruin.

Just curious – did you do a lot of post processing on this image?

It was shot in HDR so bit was involved but nothing extreme or heroic

That is a really cool looking house. It amazes me to think people just let these houses die. Cheers.

I have to agree with all the various comments here. It is/was such a nice looking house;
and, when I see one like this one, I usually wonder about the family history, like:
- Were the last who lived there the last of a 'family tree' with no one left to carry on?
- Or, did all the children go off and get new lives elsewhere and not want to return?
- What went through the minds of whoever had to walk away that last time?
- Did they take 'one last look back' as they walked away or were the tears overpowering
and they didn't want that heartbreak?
- ? ? ? ?
Sorry for the rambling and thanks for the posting . . .

Great composition and lighting. Love it! And yes, "if those walls could talk".
