I wondered about that as well ,. It can't make it to the top with a slanted plane ... or could it .. it is a nice shot .., making it to the top 4 out of 13,000 ... says it can make it all the way ..,

The foreground falls away like that. If you notice, the mountain is straight up and down. The foreground is also partially in shadow due to the rising sun behind me. Had the foreground been shot level, the Shiprock would have been cocked to the left.

Has not made it to top 4, or even honorable mention (top 100) yet. It is probably in the top 800 I think. Doubt it will make it to the top, but it will be published in a hardback book and I am pretty pleased with that as I am not that good a photographer.
