Looks like an early false hellebore which is the plant that means spring has come here. Can't understand because here in Western Pa it is still so cold even the tripods have goosebumps. Can this possibility be a this years photo.Even that famous PA. groundhog can't believe this. By the way I like the picture

High ground is under about 20-30 feet of welcome and much needed snow at the moment... Lake level snow, 2-4 feet
Spring flowers will (hopefully with a slow melt of the snow pack) be a bit tardy this summer.
