this certainly speaks well of the Sony. Excellent !!!
Nice detail in the feathers.
Super sharp, nice series Jan.
These are really nice. The first one is a very good portrait, and the others are interesting views of very natural poses. I really like the background you got. It's so natural, yet the hawk isn't overpowered by it. You have nicely separated him from the background branches. The images are sharp where they need to be and not where they need to be.

These are beautiful Jan. You're going to have to teach me how to go hawk hunting. I usually only see them when I'm driving and it's unsafe to stop.
Terrific images. Nice hunting.

A very nice set Jan. Raptors are my favorite subject and for me a successful "hunt" is defined by the kind of engagement your have here. You have eye contact and the birds attention without its need to skedaddle, well done! I'm happy to know this camera is working for you, I'm sympathetic to the issue of swinging around heavy gear.
Best regards, Phil

Beautiful photos but it looks like the bird didn't like you being so near.
Looks like he resents your taking a picture. Be sure to ask next time.
