American Airlines Taking the Cheap Route

And this is why I prefer Southwest (SWA) - when I HAVE to fly -
TSA makes me VOMIT (I've named them The Stupid A _ _ H _ _ _ s) because they are truly brainless morons
So Stupid they don't even care they are brainless morons
If I can make a trip in 5 - 6 hours in my car rather than fly - the auto wins hands down
Otherwise, at least for now - SWA still seems to value their flying customers
First 2 checked bags are free plus an overhead carry-on AND one under the seat
And you still get a bag of nuts/snack plus something to drink

or they lose or destroy your bag(s) Loaned my son my roll-on bag which I have used on many dozens of flights (never checked) for his honeymoon. He checked it. Came back with the zipper torn out and a TSA note saying something like: "sorry your bag was damaged during inspection" - no offer of compensation for trashing a $300 bag. And that is (one reason) why I object to checking luggage (and drive everywhere other than coast-to-coast or international travel).Jan 28, 2017 20:45:52 #

and unfortunately my sister is coming in Aug and on you guessed it American, think I was able to get her ticket before the new basic economy fare went into effect on Feb 10th hers is just economy

I have a trip coming up to Ecuador soon and fear what they will give me for flights on the free airfare ride. Hopefully there may be an upgrade that won't break the piggy bank. I usually try for the isle seats but these cattle trips don't allow a choice. I find myself at times imagining hearing the mooing herd sound watching the people being herded along.
