Interesting flower

I was in my garden getting some vegi's for dinner when I saw this interesting bloom on the zucchini plant. In case you don't know, zucchini blooms open in the morning and die that evening. This one looks like it hanging onto the last few hours of life.

Kinda creepy looking, but very nice photo, lol. It definately is "hanging on". I really like the color in this.

You sure its not a body snatcher pod. "Don't Fall Asleep" lol. BTW the flowers are an Italian treat. We flower them and lightly fry them.

They are actually very pretty flowers for veggies...this one really looks like it's clinging with fingers to keep from opening :D :D :D
