Bavaria, Snow, Horses...
Here are some shots taken between December and January.
We have about 3ft of snow at the moment, icicles like you wouldn't believe, and plenty of critters running around.
I generally shoot on Aperture mode, RAW, and tweak in Lightroom.
Most of these are "Lucky shot" types, where I have no idea how I managed to get them. I usually use the lowest F-stop and have no idea how to set up a camera.
Taken with the standard Canon lens that came with the Canon EOS 550D.
I have been told to "upgrade" my camera, but I honestly think the 550D is superb -- and easy for me to work with. (Plus it doesn't weigh a ton!)
I do need to invest in a tripod though. The one I have...is a wobbly affair. :)

Baby, my Landlady's Whippet, coming to say Good Morning.
A cloud, frozen onto the woods across the road.

Rainstorm, 11 months old
Oscuro (Grey Paso Fino) and Rainstorm (Rocky Mountain) enjoying the snow.
Oscuro, enjoying a roll in the snow
Pixie (Sphynx) looking out of the bathroom window

My mystical horse :)
Beautiful shots, Silke. Welcome to UHH.

Silke, first off, welcome to UHH, one of the better photo sites and I would say the best that I visit daily. Your series is fantastic. Love the variety of the photos along with the story they tell. Thanks for sharing.
