On our way to meet our son for lunch I took some shots of this large sculpture. It was commissioned by Gateshead Council and created by Sir Antony Gormley and it was put on site in 1998. Hope you can read the information board.

Amazing captures Sylvia! I had never heard of this and it is awesome. The size is remarkable and you shots including people really helps with the scale. Very well done.

Another excellent set Sylvia, and I must say, these photos are not what I might have expected to see. Honestly, I had never heard of the Angel, and I was fascinated by the history and description on the info board. As a retired engineer, I can appreciate some of the technical challenges that had to be overcome in order to construct the Angel and mount it securely. Thanks for posting these.
