Hi, I am new to photography. Been a hobby since January, and have just finished an intro to digital photography course. I love using Painter Essentials 4, Photomatix and PS Elements to experiment with my photos. I always wished I could paint freehand, but find I can use a computer easier than a paint brush! Here are a few pics of mine processed with various software

I really like the first and third. Not crazy about the second. The trees look good, but the deer didn't turn out as well as the rest. (in my opinion)
What program did you use for each? I still haven't messed with HDR, and I really like the effect. As for #3, much more painted looking than most I've seen. Great job!

Hi, thanks for comments. I agree the second one didn't turn out really well. The photo itself was not a clear one either.
I used the Auto Exposure Bracket setting on my Canon EOS 550D camera to get three different exposures, then processed in Photomatix to get HDR effect. I then used Corel Painter Essentials 4 to paint out the background for the first photo.
Second photo, is just one exposure processed with Painter Essentials, and tweaked with PS Elements.
Third one is one exposure processed in Corel Painter Essentials using the Oil paint setting, and Sargent brush. This seems to work well for nature photos.
#3 really looks like you painted with a brush. Nice, I like the effect.
The 3rd is the most artful. Lovely
Thanks for your comments guys. Appreciated :)
