Coldest pics I ever took

-6 deg not counting 30mph winds, siting on top of White Top Mountain in SW Virginia. I think the first 2 pics really capture the cold. These were taken the morning after a winter storm last weekend. I didn't spend much time outside the vehicle capturing these, it was a quick in and out.

Nice shots and imho you did indeed capture the cold.
Those seem like crazier than normal temps for Virginia.

Edit: I love the composition in the first one and welcome to UHH!

We were in the middle of a very cold winter storm and this mountain is one of the highest places in VA I think. But your right, we don't see negative temps very often in our state, thank goodness.

I'm so grateful there are others who will brave the cold to bring us such lovely photos of the snow and ice! I really like the road leading through trees in #4 and the whiteout atmosphere in #s 1&2.

Believe it or not I can feel the cold from these.

Excellent and very appealing set of photos. Everything about these says "COLD!". My favorite is #3. The fence and its shadow add a lot of visual interest.

Thanks everyone, I enjoyed getting out and taking these up on the mountain after a storm but it was a once in a lifetime trip as I learned enough to never go back up there after a bad winter storm. I'm hoping to get a 16-35mm lens by Spring and go back up during the summer on a clear day. It's a beautiful place.
