I am very excited to share with all of you some good news I received this week.
I have won first place in the National Corn Growers photo contest! I am soooo excited
besides a cash prize, this photo shows how they will be using it as the cover of a publication plus I have been told it will be the backdrop of the stage at their national convention in Texas in March. I still can't believe it!

Very good! I always look at any win as great, but this is a very big real win. Congratulations!

Very nice corny photo, what a nice honor.I believe that the Sony A65 you used is underrated camera.has all the basic bells and whistles,at 24 megapixels,as is obvious takes a wonderful pic.not overly expensive, but it does a great job.

I do love that camera, but did last fall by a Sony A99 full frame more for low light conditions and will keep the 65 as my back up

My husband and I farm and raise corn and soybeans here in ND.
I was in the field that day driving the tractor with the grain cart as we were harvesting, when we stopped to fill the semi I crawled up on the back of it and took the photo.
