Really a Great Job! I can certainly see why they might be some of your favorites now. From the Sky in #1, the Foggy Morning in #2, the Calm Beauty of the Boats in #3 to the Rocky Beach that is Main in the last one all are Super and would be Great in a Gallery even if it was in your own private living room!

My Hat's off to you.

Good work to pull the colors and light out of dated images that probably looked flat. I love the fog over the valley, quieting yet a bit of a chill in the air. I also like the last, the colors on the water and beach of the setting sun. Impressive.

You said it, CarolySue--flat! Especially in RAW downloads. I tossed the foggy hillside initially, but took a 'what the heck' approach when I went back into the folder and started to play with it in LR6. This trip was four years ago. Since then, I've realized how much data is concealed in high contrast images. Wish I could find the patience to back through all my trips with fresh eyes. It'd be a wonderful chance to see in digital images the colors I remember from being at the scene.

Outstanding shots and they are even more special because you rediscovered them and were able to make them match the pleasure you felt taking them!

Exactly so, Carol! The initial RAW downloads left me wondering what happened to the drama I witnessed with my eyes at the time. Who knows, in another four years I may have learned how to master Photoshop and be able to take these images to yet another level.

Exquisite images, each one a pleasure to view. Glad you decided to rework these to bring out those colors.

Thanks so much, Tom! These images certainly translate what my eyes saw better now than when I first edited over four years ago.

very pretty shots of wonderful acadia. visited there once and loved that place.

Ironically, the two times I've been there (in the first week of October) it was very grey and cloudy. I think I need to go one more time and hopefully see a bit more sunshine. What I did enjoy a lot were the museums and landmarks. Despite the grey, it was a beautiful place to explore.

I frequently get home from a trip and look at my pics only to say, "I thought I did better than that!" But a year later, I can go back and see value in the images. Nice images!

That is happening to me a lot--plus, I keep second guessing myself on whether to edit for small thumbnails shared on social media or adjust/save for use in larger print formats. With hundreds of images from every trip, PP gets too tedious if I try to save two settings for everything. Thank goodness I'm retired and have nothing better to do with my time.

Brings back fond memories of a long weekend we spent up there. Flew into Portland then drove up along the coast.

Played golf on the oldest course in New England in Bar Harbor. Scenery was fantastic, as you've demonstrated admirably.

We also flew in to Portland and followed the coast to Acadia. Did't play golf, but certainly enjoyed the many museums all along the way. But, of course, the scenery was the main attraction. Glad this share brought back some of your fond memories, jaduff!

Sorry you didn't get the best of weather. The place is gorgeous. At least you did a nice job of making the most of your photos. The schooner (Margaret Todd) is particularly nice.

No doubt you must have many gorgeous images of the region, Dennis! So often I find myself wishing I lived closer by, or could travel more frequently, to an area just so I could catch all the nuances of lighting that make each take unique.
