I am very partial to Rocky Patels, especially their Churchills and larger. Excellent, milder-side smoke.

Let me suggest to all that the place to grab your smokes at very good prices is Cigar Auctioneer. Always something of value on the site.

It has been a long time for me, but a buddy and I tried hundreds of different brands. Some were horrible but my final favorite was the Padron Anerversario Series.

I'm not a real aficionado, but I do enjoy an occasional smoke. I quit cigarettes almost 50 years ago but I still enjoy a pipe or cigar once in a while.
Gurkha - Centurian, La Aurora E. Leon, Gran Habano - Vintage & 3SLS, Punch - rare Corojo - - are some of the cigars I have in my cache. I buy them online by the box or bundle and don't like to pay more than $5 a cigar. I have taken to letting them age, sealed up, down in my basement for a few years before I bring them up to the humidor. Although I don't have any on hand right now, I do like Arturo Fuentes's too. I brought a couple boxes of Cubans back from the Middle East and keep some for guests, but I'm really not impressed with Cubans. Personally, I think the Punch is the best value in a medium priced cigar. I refuse to pay for the high priced cigars - - like the Cubans, they really aren't worth the cost when there are so many good moderately priced cigars rolled around the Caribbean.

I'm wondering if anyone out there enjoys cigars? Care to share your go-to, never fails cigar, whether it's your regular smoke or a special occasion indulgence?

Ben

Punch, Grand Cru # 2 but since retired an occassional El Producto..... LOL I do miss every nuance of a good smoke though; lived in the Tampa Bay area most of my life and had access to pretty good smokes from Honduras etc.. Ah, the good life.

For the last 30 some years I have purchased cigars from Thompson's in Tampa, Fl. Always has sales and some of the finer cigars. Favorite Brands? Perdomo, most Cubans, but esp. Padron, and Victor Sinclair. I normally smoke one to three cigars a week. For those of y'all who do not like cigars, remember what Robbie Burns said about them. "A woman Is a woman, BUT a Good Cigar IS a Smoke!" I think I'll light up one and pour about three fingers of Jameson's. Could be a wonderful evening!

Remember what Groucho told that guy that had double digit kids... " I like a good cigar too, but I have enough sense to take it out of my mouth now and then ." BTW, got my hand crafted Humidor, years ago at Thompsons... My brother frequents the cigar and pipe bar at Edwards in Tampa quite frequently. Really miss those places !

IMHO The best place to buy cigars in Tampa is Tampa Humidor on Bush blvd( or on their website if you are not in Tampa).

I'll have to check out their website. I did live in Southwest Florida for 18 years, but now I'm in the middle of the heartland. I do try to patronize local tobacconists when possible, but if they don't carry what I want, I have no choice but to try to find them online.

Had my first cigarette when I was 12, 1969. Puke my guts out. that was the end of that. Grandfather use to smoke a pipe, I tried it for a while- mid 70's- favorite tobacco ( I'm going to butcher this) Borgum- Riff- Rum, great aroma with that. Got bored with that after about 3 months moved on to weed, that didn't last long- all it did was put me to sleep, and if I was at a party it was always interesting trying to explain my new shades of make-up to mom and dad in the am, dad would never let it rest, till the next weekend, then the jokes would start all over again with the new look. 2 months of that was enough, late 70's since then nothing.

My dad was a big time El Producto (sp?) smoker

Does that ashtray have a hole in the bottom? What's the purpose of it?

Are you asking me what the purpose of an ash tray is?
