Hi,

Can't seem to take pics of glass without reflection of light.
Put light behind white plex, sandblasted glass, neither seems to work for me. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Ken

place your camera lens at an approximate 45 degree angle to the glass surface...this should reduce the glare

Are you taking the pic of the glass or whats behind it. Also are you trying to get a reflection in the glass?? A little more info might help....

Always shoot at an angle. Rule of thumb is if you can see your reflection you are not at the angle you need to be. You can also use a polarizer to take reflections out of glass but you will lose a stop of light) depending on how much you turn the polarizer. You will see the effect if you have DSLR. A polarizer is a filter to go on your lens. They are fairly expensive. What I talked about at the beginning is using a flash or portable light source. The polarizer won't help is you are using flash. Like someone said earlier you need to use a light tent that will give you even diffused lighting like shooting on a cloudy day.

This will give you a start: http://www.langleycameraclub.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/1106_-_GLASS_IN_ANY_FORM.pdf

Glass can be tricky, but it can be done.
What you are shooting makes a difference on how you might tackle the challenge you are facing.
Can you post a photo of the kind of objects you are making?

Edit..
Holy crap! This is a zombie thread that’s almost 7 years old!!!
How’d it wind up on the 2nd page from the current one?
(Must have hit the wrong tab...)
