This could be a hybridized duck. Not sure. At first I thought it may be a juvenile American Wigeon.

Possibly a Greater Scaup. Found one here which looks very similar-http://carolinabirds.org/HTML/NA_Duck_Pochard.htm
Maybe a Blue Winged Teal but the bill isn't right-https://flyways.us/duck-identification-resources/dabbling-ducks/blue-winged-teal

If the zoo imported this duck from Africa, I would think it is a Hottentot Teal.

Great research wmontgomery. I agree it's probably a Hottentot Teal. I saw its cousin on Wikipedia.

This duck is not a Hottentot Teal it lacks the dark cheekpatch\/smudge that is diagnostic. I believe it is a Silver teal - note the yellow patch at the base of the bill.

Since no one here has definitely identified it, you may want to consider asking the zoo officials.

Try googling Silver Teal- go to images and look for the Diagnostic features IE the Yellowish patch at the base of the bill as well as the barred feathers on the tail coverts.
