Nikon CoolPix500

While in Venice a couple of months ago, my "faithful" Sony broke, and I had to get a new camera on the spot. There was no Sony available, so I settled for the Nikon CoolPix500. I'm finding the pictures are not sharp no matter what settings I use. Does anyone have any comments about this camera? I'm thinking of selling it, and getting a new Sony.

Photography blog tested this camera and rated the picture quality at 3.5 out of 5.0. That is not so good. Look up the analysis on their website. It was very thorough. I passed the P500 up for a Panasonic FZ 150. Found it on Amazon.com. Fantastic camera. It costs a little more, but the features are great and the picture rates 4.5 out of 5.0 on the Blog. The Sony Hx 100v also rated high on the Blog. Love my Panasonic.

Glad to help. Both Sony and Pansonic make great super zooms that are highly respected and rated. You will love either one and you will not be disappointed. Amazon also has a great return policy in case you get a fluke. Can't put my Panasonic down.
